General Terms and Conditions of Sale (Groups)

1. Application of General Terms and Conditions

The agreements between the parties are governed entirely and exclusively by these general terms and conditions and any special conditions agreed upon with the customer, notwithstanding any conflicting provisions in any of the customer’s documents.

2. Group Rates

Pairi Daiza offers favorable terms for groups of adults, seniors, children, and persons with disabilities who book at least 10 working days before their visit. To benefit from the “group rates,” the group must have booked by email and consist of at least 20 paying participants (or 5 paying PRM participants) visiting Pairi Daiza on the same day (excluding holidays and bridge days). All members of the group must arrive together at the meeting points and times indicated in the booking confirmation.

3. Group Reservations

3.1. How to Book?

Pairi Daiza only accepts reservations made online or by email using the reservation form. The group is requested to use only one form per group and per visit day. This form is available on our website (www.pairidaiza.eu). To qualify for the “group rate,” the group must book at least 10 working days before the visit date and consist of at least 20 paying participants (or 5 paying PRM participants) visiting Pairi Daiza on the same day (excluding holidays and bridge days).

3.2. Confirmation of the Reservation

The reservation is final once it has been confirmed in writing by Pairi Daiza. On the visit day, the group leader must present this confirmation at the information desk. Groups that have not received this document one week before their visit are requested to contact the Reservations Department (+32 68 250.833).

3.3. Unreserved Visit

Any group that has not booked its visit and reports to the information desk will receive the group rate without complimentary amenities.

4. Booking Entrance Tickets Only

4.1. Receipt of Tickets on Site

On the visit day, the group leader must present the confirmation document at the information desk. For payment, they must settle the remaining amount:

Either in cash or by debit card on the same day.

Or after the visit by invoice. If you choose this payment method, an official purchase order is requested by email and at the cash desk on the day of your visit. This document must contain a letterhead, the total amount of the visit, a stamp, and a signature. Note: French checks are no longer accepted. If your group no longer consists of 20 paying people, the individual rate applies.

4.2. Receipt of Tickets in Advance

Ticket reservations must be made no later than 10 working days before the visit, and the exact number of participants must be communicated to Pairi Daiza by email at least 7 working days before the group’s arrival. All tickets must be paid for no later than 3 working days before the visit. The tickets will then be sent by email upon receipt of payment. If your group no longer consists of 20 paying people, the individual rate applies.

5. Reservation of Meals

Meal reservations must be received at least 10 working days before the visit date, subject to availability. To ensure quality service, Pairi Daiza must receive the exact number of meals by email no later than 7 working days before the visit date. A uniform menu choice is required for all group members. Pairi Daiza will confirm the reservation in writing and indicate the deposit to be paid (equivalent to 50% of the total reservation amount). If the deposit is not received within the time specified in the confirmation letter, Pairi Daiza reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Once this deposit is received, the reservation is considered final.

6.Reservation of a Guided Tour

Guided tour reservations must be received at least 10 working days before the visit date, subject to availability. Pairi Daiza will confirm the reservation in writing and indicate the deposit to be paid (equivalent to 50% of the total reservation amount). During guided tours, a guide accompanies up to 25 participants. The times indicated in the confirmation document are indicative. They are confirmed upon sending the tickets or upon arrival at the cash desk. In case of delay by the group at the meeting point, the guide will wait a maximum of 15 minutes. The duration of the tour will not be extended.

7. Reservation of GiftCards

The group can order gift cards for a fixed amount (minimum €10 – maximum €50 per gift card). These gift cards can be used in all shops and dining facilities at Pairi Daiza. The total value of the ordered gift cards must be paid no later than 7 working days before the visit date, and once the deposit is paid, the number and value of the gift cards cannot be changed. The gift cards are valid from the visit day until the last day of the season. Unused (partially or fully) gift cards are not refundable.

8. The Group is Smaller than Planned

If, on the visit day, the actual number of participants is lower than the booked number, the following conditions apply:

8.1. Entrance Tickets

For tickets sent in advance: Pairi Daiza does not accept ticket refunds. Unused tickets are not refundable or exchangeable. For tickets paid on the day of the visit: The file is adjusted based on the actual number of participants present, and the difference is calculated at the cash desk, in the morning of the visit.

8.2. Meals

Pairi Daiza accepts a deviation of up to 3 meals compared to the confirmed number of meals. Meals not consumed above 3 meals must be paid for in full. As a reminder, the number of reserved meals must be communicated in writing no later than 7 working days before the visit date.

9. The Group is Larger than Planned

If, on the visit day, the actual number of participants is higher than the confirmed number, the group leader pays the extra entrance and/or meal tickets at the information desk and receives the correct number of entrance and/or meal tickets. For entrance tickets, the cash group rate applies. For meals, Pairi Daiza does its utmost to accommodate the extra participants in the best conditions, without guaranteeing the number of available places and the chosen menu.

10. Ticket Changes

If, on the visit day, the age category of your tickets needs to be changed, the group leader pays the difference according to the cash group rate at the information desk.

11. Cancellations

Cancellations must be received by Pairi Daiza at least 3 working days before the visit date. They must be submitted exclusively by email. For reservations not canceled and if the group does not appear on the announced visit day, meals, guided tours, and/or activities will be charged in full, plus an amount of €30 to cover administrative costs.

11.1. Cancellation Fees

The amount due can be refunded according to the following percentages:

More than 20 working days before the visit date: 100%.

Between 19 working days and 3 working days before the visit date: 50%

From 3 working days before the visit date: 0%.

12. Changes and Cancellations by the Seller – Force Majeure

When, before the start date of the visit, the performance of one of the essential services of the visit (access to the park, guided tour, catering) is made impossible by an external event imposed on Pairi Daiza, except in cases of force majeure, Pairi Daiza informs the group as soon as possible and proposes a change of the reservation by email. The group then has the option to:

Request the termination of its reservation, without penalty or cost and with full refund, by writing to the company within twenty days of the originally scheduled visit date; or

Accept the change proposed by Pairi Daiza. The group must inform Pairi Daiza of its choice as soon as possible in writing. When, during the group’s visit, one of the essential services cannot be performed by Pairi Daiza for reasons other than force majeure, Pairi Daiza will, if possible, offer a similar service on the same date or at a later date to replace the unperformed service. Limitation of Pairi Daiza’s non-essential services and performances due to weather conditions, plant or animal conditions, work, or force majeure do not entitle the group to any refund or replacement of the service. In cases of force majeure preventing Pairi Daiza from fulfilling all or part of its contractual obligations, the park’s obligations are automatically suspended, and Pairi Daiza cannot be held liable to the group for non-performance. When such an external event, both unpredictable and insurmountable, occurs, Pairi Daiza offers the group a credit note equivalent to the originally booked visit, to be used at a later date as a replacement for the unperformed service, subject to availability. Cases of force majeure include general or specific strikes or social actions at Pairi Daiza, medical, sanitary, safety, or climatic conditions posing a risk to Pairi Daiza’s activities or customers, or any public order to close or restrict Pairi Daiza’s activities for any reason.
